Todd Simons is an experienced and accomplished executive who excels at turning around underperforming operations with a focus on Business Intelligence, CRM, and Planning. He has a proven track record in troubleshooting problematic issues associated with revenue growth/operating efficiency. During his long and successful career in the Las Vegas gaming industry, he has become highly regarded for demonstrating a combination of strategic and operational expertise to identify root causes, understand opportunities through objective data insight (BI), and develop appropriate solutions to turnaround stressed businesses.
With a unique ability to leverage team strengths and cross-functional collaboration to accomplish ambitious goals and drive business results, Todd has successfully led high-priority initiatives to improve P&L and operational performance at several of the leading resorts in Las Vegas. His strengths include leading organizations through turnaround situations to achieve exit strategy to support a potential sale or merger.
Todd served as Chief Gaming Officer at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas from 2012 to 2015 to lead a 3-year initiative to improve casino performance for owner Deutsche Bank, which successfully resulted in the sale of the property to Blackstone Group for $1.7B in 2014. In this role he had full operating and reporting responsibility for all gaming operations with a 110,000 s.f. footprint and a team of 1,300 associates. Todd instituted new CRM initiatives which increased casino revenue by 66%, and utilized deep knowledge of the gaming industry along with data analytics to identify areas of improvement which resulted in a consistent YOY trajectory and EBITDA improvement.
He and his wife, Lisa, have three grown children, and reside in Las Vegas.
