After a 20-year career as an industry analyst, Paul joined Akamai in early 2018. He works in the media industry team, looking at the trends, opportunities, and threats facing the industry and Akamai. Paul is an acknowledged global expert in videogaming, igaming, digital media and consumer technology – usually approaching this from a business model, market sizing and technology feasibility perspective. He is Akamai's industry lead for igaming and advises both internal stakeholders and customers. He has spoken at global industry events like CES, E3, Casual Connect and CDN World as well as being featured in publications like the Economist, FT, and Wall Street Journal and other media like the Today programme, CNN, MSNBC and BBC news.
