    The American Gaming Association and our Global Gaming Expo (G2E) partner, Reed Exhibitions, are closely monitoring the horrific events that took place in Las Vegas Sunday night. Our thoughts and prayers are with those that were affected, and with the people of Las Vegas and Nevada.

    G2E annually welcomes 26,000 visitors and has opened, as planned. The AGA and Reed Exhibitions are in constant contact with local and national law enforcement and our host, the Sands Expo Las Vegas. We continue to monitor the situation and safety remains our priority.

    The gaming industry is a tight-knit community and Las Vegas is the beating heart of our operations. The AGA and Reed Exhibitions will offer our full assistance as the city recovers, and will honor the victims of this tragic event.

Valerie Spicer brings more than 30 years of gaming experience to the Arizona Indian Gaming Association (AIGA) having worked extensively in the Tribal, private and public sectors of the growing industry. As Executive Director, Spicer oversees the day-to-day operation of an organization which represents 19 of 22 Tribes in Arizona as well as charting a course to move the industry in Arizona forward. Before joining AIGA, Spicer was CEO of Gaming Strategies Group where she promoted business development with Tribal enterprises, governments and consulted to Tribal and individually-owned businesses. In 2013 Spicer was named by the Arizona Business Magazine as one of the “50 Most Influential Business Women” in Arizona. In 2011, Spicer was named a “Great Woman of Gaming”, Proven Leader, by Casino Enterprise Management Magazine. In 2004 she was named one of the “Top 25 People to Watch” by Global Gaming Magazine.
