Bio: Richard Wall was appointed director of bank note operations and business support in the Department of Banking Operations in August 2004. He is responsible for bank note production and the bank note distribution system, including the processing centers in Montreal and Toronto. Wall previously worked as project director for the Central Bank Counterfeit Deterrence Group, a group representing 27 central banks working cooperatively to develop counterfeit deterrence technologies. Prior assignments at the Bank of Canada include, assistant director of the currency development team and project manager for the new series of Canadian bank notes. Wall holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from McGill University.
