Gaming Industry Observer Renews Support for Global Gaming Expo

Leading Newsletter an Official Show Publication for Second Year

Norwalk, CT—Global Gaming Expo (G2E) announced today that Michael Pollock’s Gaming Industry Observer   has again signed on with the trade show and conference as an official G2E publication.

Published in Atlantic City, NJ, Gaming Industry Observer tracks and interprets gaming industry trends, analyzes new gaming technologies, and studies the implications of pending industry regulations. The casino industry’s only award-winning publication, Gaming Industry Observer is read by casino managers, suppliers, attorneys, regulators, financial analysts and other high-level industry influentials.

Gaming Industry Observer and G2E are a perfect fit because they both offer provocative yet savvy insights into the future of gaming,” said Publisher Michael Pollock. “When industry leaders read the newsletter and attend G2E, they learn about the full scope of emerging technologies, come face to face with such ‘hot button’ issues as Internet gaming, and arrive at business decisions better prepared to enhance their company’s success.”

“The support of opinion-leading publications has been instrumental in establishing G2E as the industry’s premier global conference,” said Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., president and CEO of the American Gaming Association, G2E’s organizer in conjunction with Reed Exhibitions. “We are proud that a media voice of the caliber of Gaming Industry Observer continues to endorse G2E.”

Gaming Industry Observer is the recipient of two first-place national awards for editorial excellence from the Newsletter Publishers Foundation. Michael Pollock is the former chief spokesman for the New Jersey Casino Control Commission and former editorial page editor for The Press of Atlantic City. He is the author of the 1987 book "Hostage to Fortune: Atlantic City and Casino Gambling," published by the Center for Analysis of Public Issues in Princeton.

The American Gaming Association represents the commercial casino-entertainment industry by addressing federal legislative and regulatory issues. The association also serves as a clearinghouse for information, develops educational and advocacy programs, and provides leadership on industry-related issues of public concern.

Reed Exhibitions produces events in 49 industries in 12 key sectors, bringing together 160,000 suppliers and over nine million buyers worldwide.

Global Gaming Expo takes place Sept. 17 - 19, 2002, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
